In essence, this is a workstation where personnel receive
operational instructions. The roll cutter manager is thus able to identify
exactly from which roll which production protocols have to be cut using the
appropriate blade settings.
The system fully automatically controls quantity requirements for production
protocols, as a consequence of which there is no need for the paper cutter to
keep records in a quantity log.
To avoid margin wastage, there is an option to plan an ancillary track
paper roll in any cutter position.
Automatic generation of cutting plans and their integration into the
production program for the re-use of waste rolls.
Establishing full linkage with automatic roll cutter equipment. Transmission
of blade positions and blade sequence, reception of cutter start signal,
reception and processing of eject signal. Where automatic cutting is faulty,
manual identification of eject or – following the selection for scrapping of
wastage of unidentifiable rolls – acquisition of the rest. Adjustment option for
roll out and weighing sequences. Data downloads from the paper roll balance,
the gauge and strapping equipment, as well as data transfers to the roll
labelling equipment and conveyor.
Manual or semi-automatic functions in line with the level of automation
of the paper roll cutting equipment.
The system supports the on-cutting of stock and warehouse paper rolls.
In this regard there is a separate option to mark paper rolls for on-cutting,
prepare cutting plans for on-cutting instructions, in addition, the system
supports the acquisition of on-cut rolls at the roll cutter and the scrapping
of remains.
