PaperNavigator for Pulp and Paper

Lab monitor

Measurement controls transmitted from several paper machines integrated into a unified system.

Evaluation of tolerances and intervention limits in the case of qualifiable and non-qualifiable parameters. Evaluation of delimited parameters from the bottom, from the top and from both sides. Colours highlighting signal parameter types, colouring of tolerances and limit transgressions.

Formation of sampling frequencies and customisations by quality with the help of input from a database system.

Utilization of different measurement codes per quality parameters depending on quality.

Length and transverse profile diagram drafting option through the setting of position-specific measurements.

Automatic generation of quality parameters calculated by user-defined formula. The formula may also include a mix of measured and calculated parameters. Recursive formula analysis allows calculated parameters to feature at several levels, although the sequence in which parameters are recorded is completely open to the user.

Measured parameter upload from the paper machine or other automatic gauge system.

Automatic data take-up and transmission of already measured parameters in case paper rolls are re-graded. Only those parameters that have not yet been measured under the re-grading assessment are featured as ‘action’ tasks.

Where the paper roll is not of the required quality, automatic prompt for alternative production protocols, i.e. re-grading proposals in order to meet the re-grading of the measured data of the paper roll.

Comparative measurement control of rolls produced by other companies (investigation of production quality in the case of competitor products).

Retroactive qualification in the case of small paper roll measurement control.
